No, there's no supercharger on the G6 GTP Coupe, or any G6.
Yes, there is a company that has one for the G6.
If you couldn't tell if your engine had one or not, I'd suggest you find a mechanic to install it.

True, but you know when a salesman is lying to you, don't you? Because his lips are moving.

If you think that's funny... the first dealer I went to told me there wasn't such a thing as a G6 GTP and asked if I ment Grand Prix.

The second one I went to told me the only difference between the GTP and the GT was the engine.

I went with the least dumb of the two.

I knew more about the car than the salesman. I just went in to test drive it, I already knew everything I needed to know. It was one of those no haggle places, so he wasn't making anything up, but he keep forgetting features. As he's driving it from one dealership back to his he called me to tell me he forget to mention the XM radio free for the first three months (I had already said I was going to buy it). I didn't say anything but "Awesome" while in my head I thought "Duh."

This was my first car buying experience, and it wasn't bad. But I know I will always research the cars I am interested in before even going to the dealership.

I had the same issue. When associating GTP with the brand the salesmen are thinking Grand Prix GTP. Not the higher output 3.9

Opps, my bad, you're right, it's only for the 3.5. I'm not sure why it wouldn't work on the 3.9. Aren't they the same block with a longer stroke?
It's still more work than just slapping a blower on. You'll need new heads, injectors, and I'm sure a few other things, if you want to take full advantage of the supercharger.

The 3900 (LZ9) is a different block from the 3500 (LX9) in the G6. It shares parts with the 3500 (LZ4, LZE) in the Monte Carlo and Impala. The LZ4, LZE and LZ9 are completely new 60 degree v6's with VVT.

The 3500 (LX9) in the G6 V6 and GT is based off of the old 3400 in the Grand Am / 3100 in the Malibu. These engines do not have VVT.

So the RSM supercharger for the 3500 (LX9) will not work on the 3900 (LZ9) or the 3500 (LZ4 or LZE).

Thanks, I guess I misunderstood what I was reading. It said the 3.9's bore remains at 99 mm but stroke is increased to 84 mm. But that's just how they got to 3.9L. It never said it was the same block. I'm retarded.

It's actually GM that's messing you up. It's not obvious that they have 3 different engines called 3500.

I only found out that they were different when I went to the GM Powertrain website and read up about them.

edit: At the same time, if RSM wants to use my car as a guinea pig for a supercharger, they can.

The Bore is 99MM not the stroke.

isn't that what he said? 'the bore is increased to 99mm and the stroke is at 84mm', or something like that.
