60K service for G6?

My 6 just hit 60,000. Wondering what the 60k service consist of? Or just go based on what the manual calls for?

Timing belt? Spark plugs? What else? Can I do most of this on my own (never even changed my own oil)

Just had an oil change done a month or two ago, but had a problem come up in which I thought I needed to add oil, so now I have too much oil.

Just want to keep up on my services. I love this car!

And if I need to take it somewhere, should I take it to the dealership where I bought it 2 years ago? (carmax) or take it to a known dealer like RK chevrolet

skip the spark plugs and wires unless you are having issues related to spark plugs and wires. I called the dealer to order new wires and plugs for my G6 with 88K on it and the service dept told me don't do it. They said the plugs will go well beyond 100K and to not mess with the wires or plugs until they start acting up.

You could try seafoaming the crankcase and intake. There are plenty of how to videos on Youtube.

Also, a transmission flush and fill. I did the seafoam and transmission flush on the same day. Mileage improved drastically (4 mpg increase on highway). 3.5 and can get 33-36 on highway depending upon hills.

I just had a plug of mine go terribly bad. So I'm replacing them all. Pretty sure I've already done a transmission flush earlier. Need to check records.

Just found out the bolt to my oil pan is stripped. Tread quarters ****ed it up so now I need a replacement.

Should I just do a tire rotation and an oil change with a synthetic swap?

I run Amsoil full synthetic 5W30 in my GT. I change it once a year but I only put on ~10K miles a year. I'm almost at the 60K mark and the only thing on my list is a transmission service.

Seafoam is good, but keep in mind it's good to replace the plugs shortly after running seafoam through the vac line as any crud in the combustion chamber or around the valves can damage/gum-up the electrode. I also change the oil shortly after as well but with only 60K, I won't do a seafoam application or change the plugs to 80K.

If you drive on flat roads all the time and don't race the engine at all, plugs will last 100K. If you have/use the autostick and use the lower gears often like I do, I wouldn't wait til 100K to change the plugs.

Once I can find a way to remove my throttle body to give it a proper clean, I'll remove my plugs and inspect them, oil the thread and reinstall.
