airbag warning message

Hi all,
I have a 2006 G6 and it has roughly 26k miles. Today I got a "check airbag" message on the console and was wondering if this was a scheduled maintenance kind of thing or if there really is a problem that needs to be addressed.
Thanks for your input!

Did you turn off the car and turn it back on? It'll reset the system, sometimes it's just a flub and the light won't come on again.

If you cycle the ignition and the light comes on again it's better to bring it in, better safe than sorry.

I had this happen twice, and both times it was because I was kneeling on the seat or being reaching for something stupid when starting the car. Turning it off and then back on worked.
