replaced caliper bracket and pins - news one gets stuck

Hi there. Been using these forums to work on my 2007 G6 for years. It's the best so thanks to everyone for posting and helping.

I had my rear left caliper pins seize (i neglected lubing them) so i ordered a brand new caliper bracket with new pins. I received two pins: one is silver and there is not much to it - it slides in just fine. The other pin is a brass color, it has a hexagonal shape to it too and a weird tip. Whatever, slap the lube on and stuff it in. Thing is, it doesn't move in and out of it's slide at all! Really have to pull or push hard with a tool to get it to slide in and out. This can't be right. I don't want to put the thing back together and screw it all up. What am I missing here?
