Self clean or Car spa?

So I have somewhere to go Saturday and would really like to have a nice clean car.

Now I can go ahead and do it myself the best I can (I clean it pretty well!) or take it to Car Spa down the road where my buddy works at and get it detailed and washed and waxed for free (I'm hoping).

Any opinions?

Let me tell you, we finally had a cold day of winter (got down to 25) and had a little snow, enough to cover the car, so now after it froze up and melted, it's really dirty looking! It's hideous I don't even look at my car when I get in it. And the floor mats are starting to collect dirt and leaves, etc. .

What I use is:

the bristle brush I use on my tires and rims.

I plan on doing future cleaning myself, just thought of getting it done professionally for once.

For my future cleanings, I plan on buying:

Some Ice Interior Wipes
RainX Car Wash
Microfiber Ultra fleece wash mit
An extra bucket
Grit Guard

so yea...suggestions/tips/ideas are appreciated please!!!

What cleaning supplies to use is always up for debate. I use:

-Meguiars Gold Class car wash
-Meguiar Natural Shine interior detailing

I don't even clean my tires, I just use Meguiar Endurance Tire Shine (purple gel) which gets them black. They never get any mud on them so why clean anymore than a water hose can get off?

I would never recommend Rain-X for other than their window treatment. I wouldn't use Turtle product either. Meguiars tends to be top brand until you start to branch off into online stores where they have a wider selection. I like the natural shine detailing because its less greasy.

I did a touchless at the first car wash since I picked it up a little less than a month ago. Just to get the road salt off.

Don't ask me why I recorded this lol!

Note: turn your speakers down. I think I picked a good song for this special moment

I need a good ol' buffing, My clear coat has soooo many light scratches and swirls

But as for washes in between to get rid of salt and mud, I just go to those do-it-yourself washes you feed quarters in, Only I go to one where you can pay by card. and I don't usually use the brush, just the high pressure soap and spot free rinse. Comes out to less then 4 bucks for a complete wash, Polish included.
