06 2.4L Exhaust System

I have a 2006 sedan with the 2.4 engine and was wondering if anyone had a suggestion for an aftermarket exhaust. I don't want anything obnoxious and loud but want to get better sound out of my car.

Thanks

There is a whole lot of different ways you can do it but they are pretty much custom set ups based on preference. I also have an 06 w/ a 2.4L and chose simply to replace the muffler with a Camaro style Magnaflow muffler and some generic tips.

I have a 2009 4Cyl and all I did was a resonator delete, Put a pipe in place and had it welded. I added a bolt on tip for a bit more of a complete look. Sounds great IMO.
A little raspy in the video but that could be intake as well...

I plan on doing my exhaust next after saving $. My bumper is a little messed up after being rear ended a year ago. How much would a new one run me, I'd need one fitted for dual exhaust.

Well there's the bumper cover (the painted part) and the lower cover/valance (unpainted part with exhaust cutouts)

The lower cover is actually like under $100 from gm, the bumper cover itself is a bit more priced. It depends on how much you want to replace and what look you're going for.

I need all new, both are scratched and it's very offset since the accident.
I'm not too sure what to go with. Probably just another normal one with 2 cuts.

If the upper part is just scratched it would likely be much cheaper to just have it repaired vs replacing it. Visit some body shops and get some estimates to have it fixed.

Thanks for the info! My g6 currently has the single exhaust pipe is it possible or even worth it to change it to a dual outlet exhaust?

It's possible, it's only really for looks if you want to do it. It's more about personal preference. You can gain performance increases if you do work the rest of the exhaust as well...

Both are scratched and the upper bumper has some minor dents, the taillights have a nice gap between the bumper because of it. If its cheaper, I'll get it repaired like you said, then try to have another slot for the muffler done.
