New throttle body

so.... i was thinking of getting a new Throttle body on my 3.5L 2008 . Its a 65MM and i was wondering if that would damage my engine internals. It's basicly as large as a mustang throttle body. I have a friend who did it on his 2006 hyundai elantra and he says the difference is amazing and he payed 700$ for the TB and installation. What do you guys think? will this blow up the engine on our 6?

A larger TB won't blow anything. But you may need to tune for increased air flow at WOT

Cobalt guys do it. They put the larger tb from the lsj on the le5 n/a motor. Reports are better throttle response and a really slight increase at WOT. From what I gather it take a mild tune update to dial in. On the ecotechs its a matter of re-pinning the TB harness. But there is now an adapter cable.
