New member help with CAI for my GTP

Hey I have a 2007 g6 GTP all stock. I'm looking to get a cold air intake to start and was just wondering if anyone had any ideas on what to get? I was looking at k&n intakes but there are so many I don't know which one to get. Or I there is any other brand out there I don't know about? Any ideas?

Dont think k&n makes one for the g6. You have to get an intake made for the car... so all those options were probably for trucks and big v8 cars that 99% wont fit your car..

Most people get an intake called CRAB. Crabintakes.com is where it can be found.

Or just a quick ebay search...

K&N made a "Hurricane" intake for the G6.
Its a nice intake. Im not to fond of its heat shield though.
It doesnt fit real well. I was told they just pirated one from their F150 line
which would make sense.
There is a nice comparison on the cabs here: https://www.g6ownersclub.com/forum/sh...9&postcount=57

I dont recommend the cheap intakes. There is a quality difference.

Hey thanks for the help but what are the differences in the options on crab intakes and have you heard good reviews about them because they advertise like they are good. And I know what u mean about the hurricane it doesn't really fit right. And one more question, that chip that is in the sponsered link, are they any good ? I went on the website and thee only like 80 dollars

Option 3 is the intake. Option 1 & 2 are for do it yourselfers. The FPU is the front pipe upgrade.
Its for people who want to get everything they can
From an intake. It allows 24% more air to flow over
The stock pipe setup.

Stay away from chips. They put the ecm into burst mode
And it retards the systeem thinking something is wrong.
If you want to go the tune route I would recommend
WAMS. That is Chris White. He has been writing tunes
For the G6 since 2005...or 2006. I dont remember.
Its been awhile...lol. I have his tune and love it.
He is on here somewhere. Has a website to. Google Chris White Automotive and Media.

Isnt the 07 GTP a 3.6?

nice one, and imo. the piping is not really the issue for the "cheap" ebay intakes. the filter is the issue, just go to autozone after you buy the intake, swap out the filter for a spectre or k&n filter, and you got yourself a nice intake. and apparently crab is sold out last I checked. but hey to each there own.
