Transplant my power plant

Ok so here's my idea or question I guess would be more accurate. And if I'm not in the right spot to post plz just lemme know.

I really like my car. My first car was an 89 Pontiac Grand Am so Ive been around Pontiacs. That being said I just really don't like driving my car most of the time. I've had a few mechanical issues but that's besides the point. So here's what I want to do and I'm curious if anyone on here has attempted something similar. I'm wondering if I can transplant engine, transmission, etc. out of an 09ish GXP that I'm hoping to buy wrecked and put it in my 08 GT.

If you buy a wrecked car it'll probably work out the best.
You can quite literally swap the whole subframe and get the PCM flashed to match your Vin.
Once done it should communicate with the bcm and other modules.

You may want to contact WAMS tuning to see about tuning options.
I believe there are some years/trims that you can't interchange modules with.

I think as long as you have it all (like a wreck) then your good to go.

Damn....I'd love a 3.6 in my 6.

Crab Intakes CAB, MPD Ram Air hood, Custom exhaust,
WAMS High Performance Tune and a whole lot more....
