that's not at the wheels though, correct? Those are flywheel numbers.

We could only wish that drivedrain loss was only 12.5% - Based on those numbers, FWHP would probably be in the high 190s for the 6 speed and low 190s/high 180s for the automatic.

However, I've been "assured" that the production HP numbers are slightly deflated from actuals (several people have told me that the 3.9 was producing virtually the same curves and peaks as the global 3.6L). So I wouldn't doubt a dyno on a 6sp 3.9 would be in the 200s, but I'd bet flywheel is running about 250hp.

I could see 15% with a fluid switch.

I think you'd see 17% on an M6 (the F40 isn't particularly special) and 20% on the A4. Saab 9-3s see about 17%, and considering they are "siblings" I think the numbers would be close. And the Grand Prixs with the 4T65E's tend to show right at 20% (mine ran 204-206 [three dynos] in stock form with quoted 260hp flywheel).

I would think the 3900 is pushing 250 HP at the flywheel.

haha, I didn't even think about how small of a percent that was; I just guessed I suppose. A little optimism on my part hm?
