Question.... Anyone help?

Im sure this has been asked many times but cant seem to find anything or understand, Why is it that the 07 Cobalt has the exact same engine as mine the 2.4l LE5 but we cant use the same engine upgrades? or can we? I see videos on youtube of the Cobalts with Headers, Cams, Intakes, etc..

because the 2.4 in the cobalt has a different engine wireing harness and different ECM is why you cant just put a cai on your 2.4 G6 the ECM in the cobalt has tables in the software to account for the incresed airflow the ECM in the g6 does not have tables that can acount for the increased air and thus sets of the check engine light

What about headers or performance throttle body? Can I upgrade anything to get some more power?

You bought a midsized car with a 4cyl in it, you are not going to gain much to make it as fast as the cobalt ss, or as fast as either the GT/GTP/GXP G6s for that matter. There was a guy on here that turboed a 4cyl G6, but he never posted any numbers on HP and I dont see him on here anymore, so I dont think he ever had it finalzed with tuning and such. So yeah best way to make your car faster is to go trade it in on a Cobalt SS or a 6 cyl G6. Remember there is no replacement for displacement!!!!

There are thousand of four cylinderfs that are way faster then v6. My buddy has a acura rsx and he has headers exghaust and intake in it has over 200hp and yes it is a four cylinder so that really isn't the case. I guess I need to ask ppl with better car knowledge to give me advice. If I wanted to sell then I would, seems to be the best answer for ppl who have no clue how to make a car faster unless they buy it already fixed up.

and nearly all 4cyl with that kind of power have forced induction aka turbo or supercharger.......GM calls the 2.4 an ECOtech for a reason.........to get good gas mileage you wont find many performance mods for the 2.4 b/c its not a PERFORMANCE engine and BTW 200hp is STILL less than the base V6 if you want your car faster you shouldnt have bought the 4cyl you should have spend the money on getting the V6 and would mod that you'd have to have a turbo to even be close to the V6 and would prob have around 5k into it when you could have bought a V6 for 1-2k more and had 3-4k to play with moding the V6.........once you get that thru your thick head you will see where we are coming from..........lol

The thousand four cylinders that are faster than a v6 are all in compact sports cars like your buddy's rsx, and if they are faster than a G6 GT/GXP/GTP they must have either a supercharger or turbo. There is this thing called a weight to power ratio that is going to slow your 4cyl G6 down everytime. Just swallow the truth and realize your 4 cyl G6 is not going to be anywhere near the 13.5 second 1/4 mile that the Cobalt SS does.
