GM Performance Exhaust Line

hey guys. i have seen everyone talking about exhaust and all, but i havent seen any posts about the GM Performance Exhaust Line yet. Do any of you know anything about them? because i went to my dealer and asked them how much would it cost to buy and install it on my G6. They said it would be 1100$. What do you guys think?

When I was looking for an exhaust I went throught the all 100+ pages on the exhaust thread over at G6P. there is one person who had it and all they ever said was it wasnt loud enough. But dont know how loud it was.

...and after seeing the price I figured may as well go with the GT-R since Ive NEVER heard any complaints.

You can generally find a GM performance exhaust online for about 600 dollars plus shipping. It's a bolt on catback like the GT-R, but a little cheaper. It's based on a Magnaflow muffler.

Yes, from what little I've read it's:

1. Really expensive
2. Not all that great

Which is probably why you don't hear a whole lot about it

Its really not that hard to install (just need jacks and a Metric socket set) but if you rather have some one else do it, any muffler shop can do it. I used the claps that came with it to install it, but it can also be welded together.

08 & up is a more difficult install because of the 3rd cat so welding is required. 05-07 is a straight bolt up so no big deal. As gface said you should be able to find a muffler shop willing to do it. And it's definitely worth it

Oh and more info is available here:

I believe (but not 100% sure) that he's still taking orders on this batch.

thatd be the magnaflow catback which is only available in single i think, the GMPP is NOT cheaper than the GTR, its like 800 for single and 900+ for dual and ive heard it uses Borla mufflers, it does sound pretty good but not nearly loud enough for me at least

GT-R will give you the most performance and they allow you to clarify how loud you want (aka how big of a resonator). Performance is negotiable, especially for the bang for your buck ratio of other options.
