Need shocks for 07 g6

2007 pontiac g6 gt with the v6 3.5l...car has 65k miles on it. In need of new shocks, absorbers etc..havent had anything replaced yet.

Where do you guys get your parts from? What do you recommend for brand? Im not looking for expensive aftermarket,,just basic OEM...

How much am i looking at for new abosorbers, shocks, whatever( will do work myself)?

i currentyl own the same make and model as you. try horsepowerfreaks.com they usaully have pretty well priced aftermarket stuff and sometimes stock parts as well. my tip for you is to maybe get a lowering kit ive only found about a inch drop on lowering kits but it will stiffin your suspension it will be about the same price as regular shocks

I hear the KYB struts were complete garbage. I mean it's just hearsay but it's what I've heard. As for monroes though... I believe those are OEM quality only they'll last longer and do a better job. I hear good things about Monroe. I personally haven't tried either.

2x KYB excel absorbers 26.65 each
2x strut mounts 26.15 each
2x KYB excel srut assembly 108.67 each

Came to $322 but found coupon from google giving me 16 bucks off so it came to $306

2x monroe sensa trac abosrbers 26 each
struts 97 ea
mounting 26 ea

came to $298 and $283 with coupon.

From searching other threads i think imma go with the KYB though, people sayign they are a tad bit better than Monroes.

This is from justsuspension.com. they were the cheapest for KYB, but more expensive than partsgeek for Monroes.

I was on another g6 site and they said Monroe is OEM and KYB is kinda the next step up
