P225/50R17 vs P225/55R17?

I have a free set of P225/55R17 tires for my 2008 G6 which came with P225/50R17. I know the speedo will be a little off...any other problems you think?

again they could rub..overall diameter of a 225/50 is 25.90, overall diameter of a 225/55 is 26.76. i would test fit one on the LF and see if it clears (turn steering wheel from one side to the other)

It shouldn't rub but it doesn't mean you should use it. It's way too tall hereby affecting acceleration, braking, handling, turning radius, gas mileage, suspension geometry, speedometer calibration, etc. Best to stick with factory recommended size for optimal overall performance.

my girlfriend has a gxp like mine, 225/50r18 was stock size wanted to go to a different size..we test fitted 225/55r18 and they do rub on the front fender and rear also. it is best to stay with stock size or go wider not taller, 235/50r17
