Tinting tails and keeping reverse lens clear

How are you guys doing this? Masking it off? Or is there an easier way?

easiest way tape over the reverse light turn the ignition to acc so you can put it in reverse without the car running. put your ebrake on and cut around where the light is on the tape

hey that is a good idea, but its also not that hard to see through the tape, If removed from car.

easiest way i've found especially with my 9w led reverse lights

Clean lenses with glass cleaner and dry completely. Scrub off any stubborn debris or staining with a scrub brush.
Spray lens and film with soapy water. Lay the film over the lens.
Apply heat from a heat gun while rubbing the film with a small squeegee. Work from the center out.
Trim the excess film with a razor blade around the edges of the lens. Apply heat to the edges to seal.

I use electrical tape and push it into the small outline of the reverse light than use a excto-knife or a box cutter and trace the outline.. Peel away the extra tape and spray away
