Brighter Highs

Im trying to find brighter H9 bulbs. Doesn't seem anyone makes them. Looking for suggestions. I have the standard headlamp assembly not sure if that matters for H.I.D.

Dont get HIDs if you are going to end up turning your highs on and off a lot during your drive. It takes some time for the bulbs to warm up, so you don't get the full benefit that you would get from Halogens.

Re: Brighter Highs

Also turning HIDs on and off repeatedly can damage the ballasts.

Re: Brighter Highs

Does anyone make an H9 that's brighter than stock. My brights are horrible or should I make the move to hid low beams. I already have silverstar zxe's for low and they arent all that great either

Re: Brighter Highs

H9 Bulbs are usually 65w. You can try to find some 100w or even brighter bulbs but it'll only get so good.

You should double check the aim on your headlights. Maybe they aren't aimed properly and aren't doing a good job.

I've seen people take H9 bulbs and make them work for H11 so you can use them as regular low beams too.

Of you go HID for the lows it should improve visibility but you may have to aim them up a bit more to get full use. But then he highs may not be low enough to work effectively.
