Black headlights?

I have a 2006 g6 and I am wanting to get black headlights. I have read you can paint your stock headlights but I am not sure how to do that or would it be better to buy new headlights. Does anyone have any seggustions what i shoud do?

Here's a how to on baking them to get em open for painting. Since yours is an 06 you should be able to get em open fairly easily.

But its of course easier to just buy a new set and swap em.

Thank you. I will try to bake them but I am not sure about the resealing process. I am afraid once I get the headlight open, I won't be able to reseal them.

You normally just bake them Again to loosen up the glue. Once its soft just push it back together. People will often add silicone to seal up any trouble areas.

Thank you! That is all I need. The silicone idea is what I was looking for. Hope this turns out the way I want it too.

That write up is good info. Sometimes a video from youtube can give you some tips to prevent damaging the plastic.
