What is the purpose of plasti-dip instead of using paint? Doesn't the dip peel off?

It does. But it resists chipping and flaking very well. I personally wouldn't use for anything other than check how something will look before having it painted properly. Plastidip on its own doesn't look very good imo and makes the car look cheap.

^ Agreed. Doesn't plasti-dip also attract dirt and eventually look bad as it weathers?

I plan on doing my wheels come the spring. now that I have seen the badges i think I may do those as well. Looks real good. A lot of people plasti-dip for the winter so it protects their wheels and paint from the elements. I know a few people here in mass that do that in the winter.

Garage
Not particularly, plastidip holds up very well. It may attract some dirt, but I'm not sure it weathers that much. And even if it does, just peel it off and redo it lol but dipping the rims was smart, anything is better than that awful cheap chrome that GM put on the cars
