HID Hi beam focal length

Now what I'm wondering to pull the bulb back some to make more of a focus than a flood is if I double up on the housing, is the bulb going to melt the extra housing that's around it.Click image for larger version

By doubling up, it makes the light sit closer to the reflector and makes more of a focus beam, but AS IS makes it more of a flood, and I need a beam in Highs.
