Removing Faux Wood Trim

Hi all - I'm trying to remove the 3 pieces of faux interior wood trim... The passenger side door was a snap - literally. But the driver's side and shifter surround pieces are giving me some trouble. Do I have to take the entire door panel off to get to the driver's side one? And how do I get to piece around the shifter?

I drive an '06 Convertible, by the way.

Thanks in advance!
