Suggestions for holes from door ding guards?

I have the door ding guards, and the ones on the rear doors have come off. They started to peel back at the very front, and as soon as they caught the front doors when you opened them, I had to remove them. I wish they would have just been glued on there (like previous vehicles I've owned). But what can I do about the holes in the doors?

Has anyone used anything to cover the hole, while not keeping it looking hideous?
