Question G6 Base Climate Control Swap

I have a 2009 Pontiac G6 Base Pre-Facelift. The switch for the fan speed is broken so I have to get a new module. However, I was looking on ebay and found both the exact replacement and the module for the face lifted model. It look like they are the same size and have the same connections. Would this work in my car?

I found out for myself........ it does! It fits perfectly where the old one was. Exact same mounts. Much higher quality than the old notchy unit.

I just nabbed one from the junkyard for pretty cheap, then I noticed an eBay user selling New ones for around $40 shipped, so I decided to just get a nice brand new one. Dunno why I even grabbed the junkyard one now.

I took the plunge and bought the 2009 climate control and plug it into a 2008 Base G6 and it all worked just fine.
