prep the surface very well. use fine sandpaper or emery cloth then wipe the surface off to get dust off. then apply very light coats until the desired tint. I would not go with more then 4 light coats otherwise its too dark. then let dry in between all the coats then put a few (2-3) coats off clear. good to go. just take your time and do it right. I would also tape off your reverse light otherwise it will be too hard to see backing up.
