Side Door Molding...

Hello, I drive a 2007 g6 gt and wanted to remove my side door molds (shopping-cart bumpers) they seem to be held on with 3M tape but I do not no if there are holes, studs, or line-up pins behide them. Does anyone know? Want to get info on it before I rip them off and then it looks like crap.
