LED Front Turn Signals, Anyone Ever Do It???

I was looking into putting some smd leds into my front turn signals.... Has anyone ever done it? Any pics and opinions?

Nope, but I might one day. I did replace the leds in the spyder headlights though. So much brighter than the ones it came with. Replacing turn signals may alter how fast it blinks from what I have read, but you never know until you do it

Mods: 20x8.5 chrome/black rims, 245-35-20 Kumho ecsta 4x ku22, pioneer avh 4200 DD headunit, 1500 watt rms rockford fosgate (T1500-bdcp) amp, 2 rockford fosgate 12 inch (T1s), 800 watt rms rockford fosgate (T800-4ad), pioneer 5 way 6x9s ,pioneer 4 way 6.5s, 30% tint, black spyder headlights with 6000K HID (fog/low), K&N CAI, black altezza tail lights, and magnaflow exhaust.

I have tried some red led signals & they did change the speed & then wouldnt work. Maybe bc i was using 3057 instead of 3157 but when using reg bulbs the numbers didnt matter, both 3057 & 3157 worked for reg bulbs.

if you do end up doing it and need to slow it down im sure you could get a resistor to do the job

yeah..i have those on my tail lights. theyre pretty bright. but they blink a little faster than stock, and i havnt messed with a resistor yet.

Do they fill the entire tail light housing with light ala the standard bulbs, or are they a 1" spot of light in the middle?

You are able to see the LED bulb but it does fill the whole light. I'll try to take some pics tonight.
