Cheap Exhaust Tip Extensions

From the moment I bought my GXP I felt the nice chrome factory exhaust tips were buried under the rear fascia and were all but invisible. The car simply looked unfinished and anemic without visible tips.

So for just $75 I had a local independent shop cut the tail pipes and weld in about 3" of pipe behind the tips - and the results can be seen in the pics. Now, to me, the car looks much more finished and aggressive, and the way it should have come from the factory.

No new tips just the factory originals, which because they are fairly large to begin with it seemed like a no-brainer keeping them. Just polished them up and it's a done deal.

If you've been thinking about something similar this is the cheapest way to go, and in my opinion makes a million dollar difference in the look of an already great looking car.

It does not look cheap. It looks good! Honestly it looks like an OEM finish! Cheers!

Yes, I actually agree with you, after having lived with them for awhile - I'll probably take them back eventually and have them shortened just a bit.
