Had a buddy put them in that has a shop. Couldn't beat the price. Got them put in her car and my Avalanche for just under $1500. I have 7 inch in mine. I going to upgrade the factory speakers eventually, tint, and rims and she'll be done.
Bullit, Do you have a specific security system to keep thieves away from the stuff installed. I want to install a video in front and 2 on headrests and i like yours. What is the one in the front ? Can you view everything ? What brand, item # is it ?
I would ask Kevin(rollin20's) over at g6p about the headrest question since he is more active than bullet. If he responds you can ignore this but kevin has monitors installed in his also, i believe he installed them himself also.
Gald to be here its has taken me a long time to join. My name is Greylady I have A 2006
G6 GT I love the car to death. I have always had Grand Ams and GTs. By NOW you guys
must know I'm a female but I love cars. And no one to talk about them. Then I found you guys. Maybe you can answer some of my questions about it. Cool I did it.Your problemly saying get lost lady. All I can say is this car halls ass on the highway with the
pamaramic sun roof open on a summer sunny day.
Thanks for listen.
I love my car but when it comes to audio and video upgrades, the G6 kinda got left out in the cold. Just changing the stereo out is about as scarey a proposition as peeking into Britney Spears' medicine cabinet. My hat is off to the few, the proud, the upgraded.
I also upgraded my GTP and I was going to go with a flip up DVD as well, I opted for the JVC AVX33 which looks really nice too. I did not install the kit as I thought it looked cheesy and I don't use those settings anyway. For those of you wondering, yes everything still works just like it did, remote start works great along with everything else. As for the speakers I replaced them all with Rockford's and put 2 Rockford 12 punches in the trunk. This system rocks and actually took less than one day to install. Good luck to you all on your upgrades. I found the wiring diagram somewhere one here and it worked great for the speakers, thanks to whom ever posted that.
