Aftermarket Stereo question

I just installed a Kenwood DNX-890HD in my 2008 G6 Sedan. I have a question about how to keep the power on when car is turned off but shuts off after door opened or 10 min. Currently if i turn my key off it shuts the hu off. Also my hu does not come on in acc mode. Only if key is turned all the way to right without starting. Does anyone know how i can achieve this?

I have 2 blue wires on my factory harness that are not being used. I can not see what they are used for either.

What harness are you using to connect to the factory harness?

I cut the harness out and soldered them together.

Where did you get your switched power from then? The fuse box? Most aftermarket radio harnesses are designed to retain the vehicles RAP system, which keeps the radio on after the ignition is turned off. At this point, the only way I know of to get it back is to reconnect the plug you cut off, and get a harness.

There probably is somewhere. You'll have to test some to find out. However, you wont be retaining RAP that way.
