just got car, cd player will not eject or play

I just got this freakin car, popped in six cds, and put it on random all. It will not play them or eject now. I bought instructions on how to take it out. My questions are:
1. Is it worth it to take out the stereo, take it apart, put it back in, and try the cds again?
2. Will this f*** up the other electronics? the cd player is the only thing messed up.
3. Or should I just blow the $500 for the new stereo like all the forums seem to say.

I took this thing in, and since the car is used, they REFUSED to look at it, and rudely told me there is nothing they can do, I need to replace the stereo. So instead bought an FM transmitter and am just listening to my ipod (the radio works).

Any help or comments would be greatly appreciated.

After two years my cd changer wouldnt change and it took me forever to get my CD's out. Since the DIC is in the stereo and I want to keep it I opted for an 08 radio with the Aux button.....BUT....I bought the single cd player!
I didnt need the 6 cd changer with the Aux and XM features......

Soo that problem wont happen again! ha haaa

Brand new was like $256 then you need a tech2 at the dealer to program it...thats runs from free to $80 depending on what the dealer feels like charging you for 4 minutes on a tech2.

MODS:
Crab Intakes CAB, MPD Ram Air hood, Custom exhaust,
WAMS High Performance Tune and a whole lot more....

I bought my 06 G6 and put a burnt CD in it. It stop working when my battery drained from the amp to my sub when I tried to turn on car, clicking, then radio went hay wire. I took it in they said that they would have to put a new one in and that I would lose my CD's. They said not to put burnt ones in there even though it says MP3 compatible via burnt. It was a 6 CD changer. It was under warranty so they replaced and it is still working.

Where did you get those prices? I've been told almost 400 for the radio and then 100 for the work. I wanna spend what you spent! I've been planning to get an 08 with the auxillary input and 1 CD player.... is yours monsoon ready? I heard there is a difference in some radios...?

Now my question is: what is the ssg, or symbol graphic switch? The lady on the phone told me it was for screen savers or something, but I can save $500 over this model, so want to know what it does, and wikipedia has nothing on it. Help?

Bastards? WTF??
You can get a 2005-2007 for allot cheaper than that but its used.

My point was get the 2008 with the Aux plug. Then you can use
your iPod and dont need the changer. Also GM doesnt make the radios.

Symbols are the Canadian version. Shows an arrow instead of saying ENTER.
Also shows the face of a clock instead of saying CLOCK.

non symboled radios have the text and no symbols.
Thats what I have.

I think they think the Canadians cant read.
I dunno....otherwise they are the same radio.

type "g6 radio" in on eBay. I see 05-07 for $19 on up.
