Need help with LOC install

Hi all, new to the site, just got myself a 08 GT with the monsoon system. Trying to install my sub and amp using the LOC method, Amp is hooked up and powered up. I bought the Walmart scosche loc - hooked up power, ground, and speaker connections. I’ve tapped into the correct monsoon rear speaker wires. Brand new RCA wires. I’m getting no signal to my amp (nothing my DMM can pick up)
Wondering if this is due to the monsoon system being 2 ohm and my sub and amp are 4 ohm units???
