Ipod adapter

I have an '06 g6 with the 6 disc changer...its not a monsoon and it doesnt have xm. I want to be able to plug my ipod into it but i was looking around but read that there was no adapter to plug straight into the radio. But i found a couple adapters on ebay that say they will work. I dont want to buy one if they wont work...

PXAMG - Put one of these in my daughters 2009 G6. Works nice, however the radio has stopped functioning twice since the install in August. The second time being today. The first time, I was able to get things working again by pulling the radio fuse. I will try that again tomorrow. Might be some communication problem or maybe not related to the PXAMG at all.

I can't start a new thread so I'll ask this here and hope somebody sees it.

Any chance I could replace the stereo in my 2005 G6 (monsoon) w/ a 2008 one? What I'm really after is an aux input, and this seems like it actually might be a reasonable way to go.

Yes you can replace it with a 2008 stereo but you will need the dealer to program it for you. There is an Anti-theft system in it.
