convertible & subwoofer

Does anyone know if a single 12'' subwoofer box fits in the trunk of a G6 Convertible and doesnt get in the way of the top when it is down without building a custom enclosure? Would a sealed or truck style box work?

I'm not an audio setup expert but I would think any sort of enclosure would take up MORE space and not allow it to fit. Probably the best idea is to take a tape measure to the trunk, then to the unit, and you should have your answer fairly quickly at that point
