Question Possibly an antenna for a remote starter?

Hi,

I just recently bought a used 2008 Pontiac G6. It has the factory keyless entry, and I was led to believe that it has an aftermarket remote starter installed. There's this antenna mounted just behind the rearview mirror on the windshield.

The leasing agent that I bought it from wasn't sure exactly what the antenna was, but he said he believes it was for the radio. There isn't any XM system installed, and it has the sharkfin antenna on the roof of the car.

Does anyone have an idea as to what exactly this antenna inside the car could be for? There isn't any writing on it, but there is a single button and a blue LED.

Looks like it could be a remote start antenna. Along with a button and light for programming the unit, say for run time or valet mode.

Do you guys know of any easy way that I'd be able to find a model number for the unit without having to take it in to a shop?

Best method I know Is the get into the dash and find the remote start module and look for any numbers on it. Usually have to pull the panel under the steering wheel to get to it.
