pausing convertible top

Can you pause the top in mid operation without harming anything. I'd like to get some pictures of it like that. Thanks for any help.

Know this is old.. but figured I would answer for anyone else in the future. Yes.. won't hurt a thing. Just don't do it when its windy that might cause stress to the assembly. But for a few pictures in normal conditions won't hurt at thing.
