I talk to dealer and they said they cant fix my hardtop convertible because they discontinued the parts. Are those new parts? Or any parts?

The problem is my trunk opens to begin the process of having the top go down but when the roof separates from the windshield it becomes stuck on the right side latch. The 1st time it did this, I was financially unable to fix the problem. A year-and-a-half later, I was looking to fix this problem. But when I tried to put the top down the trunk still opened but the detachment from the windshield was not working at all. It did not have any motor noise as before. Is there a fuse that I can replace to get the motor to work again? Thank you for your response

eBay has tons of stuff from salvage.
Car-part does too.
Find a reputable shop with a GM tech 2 scanner to diagnose the system.
Find out what you need, buy it, install it.
