Well, to give you the long story, back in August I started to notice a vibration at higher speeds from the right front. I went in for an oil change and had them do a rotation and balance. I was told then that one of the tires was out of round and that was probably it. I still had the vibration but decided to hold off buying new tires. Then the snow came. I was having traction problems in the snow and decided in February to buy new. I went to Discount Tire and chose the Yoko Avid S (I have the stock 16" rims). Nice tire, but still vibration. Went back and they upgraded me, at no cost, to a different Yoko. Still vibration. I went to the dealer where they performed an alignment and inspected the front end. Still vibration. Went back to Discount and they changed them over, again at no cost, to BF's traction T/A. These felt unsafe to me at highway speeds. The entire front end shook terribly. They then upgraded to the Michelin Destiny, this time I paid the up-charge, and that seemed to mitigate the problem but I still feel a vibration at times but it is tolerable. With the Michelin's I decided to go up to the dealer again and have them look it over. After two days at the shop they found nothing mechanically wrong but they swapped my 16's for 17's that were on another G6 in the lot. I drove it that way and there seemed to be no vibration at all. I was thinking at this point the wheels themselves were the issue but they performed run out tests on those and they tested true. It's been a real pain but I have the Michelin's on there now and it is tolerable.
