New to the Forum!

Hello everyone, I just joined the forum a few days ago and forgot my introduction. My name is David and I live in Michigan. I have an 09 G6 3.5L. It is mostly stock "for now". I have 8,000K HID kits in lows and fogs. 20% tint all the way around.

I've been reading for a few weeks. Very nice forum. Found alot of answers here.

I already have my list of mod's typed out and saved. lol. I'm going to cross them off as I go. I also made an edit to my last post. My car isn't charcoal. It's carbon. I was tired and didn't know what I typed.

Here's the list in the order to be installed:

Satin finished grilles
Carbon Fiber overlays for arrowheads
De-badging
Tinted tail lights
CAI
Strut tower bar

I haven't decided whether I want to add a 7" in dash. It seems too much of a hassle with the DIC

Replacing stock speakers and adding 4 channel amp
Dual exhaust valance (adding dual exhaust)
Ram air hood

I wanted to paint my headlight housing to color match my car and add halo's in but I guess it's impossible to separate 09 housings. So I may just buy the black housing projectors.

Later on down the line will be rims. Michigan sucks with potholes so I have to figure out if its worth it.

Any other ideas? or comments on the list?

I would debadge first because its DIY and makes a big difference, you can also look at getting a flip out screen so you can save the DIC.

As for the headlights there is a group buy on the spyder projector halos that is finishing up now if you want to get in on that.

Satin finished grilles = Hopefully not the eBay mesh ones.
Carbon Fiber overlays for arrowheads = Hopefully the real CF ones.
De-badging = should be first mod
Tinted tail lights = I had some for sale, but now there gone. But you can tint them with VHT niteshades.
CAI = Lampoons crab, or Injen or make your own.
Strut tower bar = GM strut bar or Racingline strut bar.

I haven't decided whether I want to add a 7" in dash. It seems too much of a hassle with the DIC = this is true....

Replacing stock speakers and adding 4 channel amp
Dual exhaust valance (adding dual exhaust) = GMpartsdirect.com for dual rear valence
Ram air hood = AIT hood (fiberglass or Carbon Fiber) or MPD (expensive, but looks great)

The only suggestion I would have is doing the little things like paint your calipers, and window trim. Maybe down the line get yourself some drilled rotors, and some lowering springs. Good choices would be H&R, Eibach, and CMS. Theres more that I can suggest, but this is good for now.

Mesh grilles would be from figure automotive. Tinted taillights i would be doing myself using niteshades and clearcoat. Debadging will probably come first because its the easiest. The overlays are from pfyc.com. I'm not sure if it is real carbon fiber or not. I doubt it since they are only 10 dollars each lol. I think I want to go with injen for the CAI As far as the flip out screen goes, its easier with the metra kit but I've never been a fan of them. Especially in cars where they block the air vent(s). I'm not 100% sure I like painting the window trim. I've seen other 6's on here with it done. It looks good on some but not all. I have chrome door handles and all that so I think it matches. The hood I want to buy is from mpd. I really like that hood. I will definitely paint the calipers. Haven't decided what color yet. Drilled/slotted rotors is a good idea too. Ill probably switch he ceramic brakes as well. I can't stand semi metallic. I wanted to get in on the group buy. Do any of you know the deadline? I can probably get them next Friday.

Welcome! I wouldnt recomend the figure grilles. they are held on with zip ties and if your doing the lower grilles you have to drill holes in your black lowers... I think he said the deadline for the group buy is oct 31st.

Which grilles would you recommend? I haven't been able to find any other than that.
