Oil filter review

I personally use the Purolator PureONE (Part No. PL25288) because of the 99.9% efficiency rating but thats just me. But the best flow rate may not be the best filter, higher flow rate could mean lesser filtration.

Anyway, I thought some of you might enjoy the review I found.

The original link provided is shutdown so I tried to get the best info for the thread. If you have another link just post it up.

I thought long about K&N filters but I feel the name is half the price. Good product just too much money when I can get very near the same performance for less.

Its a name brand, some people are more loyal to the name than the product

name brand loyalty might be part of it, but not all. i don't care what the brand name is, what i look for in brands is quality. k&n has never let me down in any style filter ive ever gotten, for every car i have ever owned. just shop smart and you won't have to pay full price for them. online outlets are usually far cheaper than buying in town, even with the shipping costs.

Amsoil all the way for me. Only synthetic fiber filter on the market with a warranty for 25K miles or one year. I save a good 10-15hrs a year doing oil changes on my vehicles and I've been running it in the G6 for three years adding about 1/3 quart at the 8 month mark and that's it. My Taurus I've been running it for 8 years with no burnoff at 15K miles a year.

I go with the Mobile 1 Oil filter and Mobile super 5000 Oil. Always have, always will.
