cupholder el wire how to

this is a super simple mod guys and afterwards you'll love it.
i bought pilot automotive part number cz-184r because it can be plugged in or hardwired right now its plugged into the power outlet in the console.

first drill a small hole straight into the console in the rear of the cupholder straight into the console.

should come in like this

then i super glued small section at a time to the rim of the cupholder by holding it with a straw and bending it to the rim as i go. let it dry enough that the glue holds the wire in place as you go.

it should end up looking like this when you're done i left the rubber insert unglued so i could still clean it and it gives the rim a cool glow
then plug it in

May be a dumb question but does cup holder turn off when the car is shut off? I noticed my car charger still stays on when the car is off when I plug it into the front console.

Would hard wiring that into the ignition be a hard task?

I wouldn't think so, just need to run the power wire to the fuse box and tap into any fuse that's hot only when the car is on. For example the wiper fuse.
