TESTING FUEL PUMP/LINE before reinstalling Tank

After experiencing gas smell from car after it sat on several occasions I eventually saw a leak under car. Dropped tank and repaired the line that runs along tanks top...but read here several people finding micro holes that had same problems so i want to check these lines before the hassle of reinstalling tank. Is there a way to power tank to battery and run without having to put it all back together first? Please help...love this ol guy( 2007 G6) and im just a chick whos a pretty good reader and fair amount of common sense...cant afford to spend $$$$$ for mechanic so defiantly need any DIY Help or suggestions.
