Plug & Play Calipers?

I have a 2008 GXP coupe with 18" wheels (if that matters) - I'm wondering if there are any "plug & play" aftermarket brake calipers out there, that have an actual performance upgrade over stock? I'm hoping not to have to change rotor size, etc., although I'm planning on getting slotted/drilled ones of the stock size.

Obviously it seems the major brands like Brembo require mods i don't want to get into, and they are too pricey for me right now.

Thanks for any help!

I think the Cobalt SS Brembos are the only ones that fit and require a rotor change. I kept mine stock but switched to D/S rotors with some nice pads and braking seems to be a lot better.

I swapped out of the drilled. I just have slotted now.
I could not get use to the "whirrrrrrr" sound that they make.

Diff in rotor size:

Crab Intakes CAB, MPD Ram Air hood, Custom exhaust,
WAMS High Performance Tune and a whole lot more....

I just got slotted rotors with street-performance pads. They're a major improvement over stock.

Hey Lampoon, is the stopping as good with the slotted vs the D/S? And if I may ask, what brand of slotted rotor is that?

Rotors & Pads

OK I'm planning on getting D/S rotors anyway - so what brand/model of pads are you guys using?

I see a lot of rotors and pads come as sets/kits - any recommendations there?

Thanks - I've been reading up on them - thinking about maybe splurging for a set of calipers too, just to round it out.
