Just picked up a 06 G6 and the lock button and remote start buttons aren't working. The unlock button and trunk release buttons work fine.

Also the interior trunk release button does not work. Not sure if this is related.


Any ideas? Do I need a new remote?

Probably a bad remote. You could always soldier them back together but I think it's too much trouble. Buy some remotes off of ebay and have the dealer program them. You'll be out only about $100.
