ever since i got my car it has had a vibration in the front end. they replaced all 4 tires at 500 miles stating that the belts shifted. the vibration didnt go away so the replaced 3 tires at 2500 miles saying they was out of round. the vibration still did not go away and now at 8000 miles im getting 4 more new tires but this time they are putting the goodyear triple treads on it instead of the ls2's. i was wondering if anybody else has had the same ploblem that has the gxp with the 18's on it.

roadrash,

have the service guy check your front tie rods. The G6 seems to have weak ones, as I've had mine replaced twice. Alignment issues and vibration issues ensue from loose tie rods.

Likewise, the type of driving you do will affect tie rod life. I drag raced a lot, hard breaking, and i used to love to cruise the mountain roads in Alaska. My brakes and tie rods suffered hard!

Lastly, as tires wear, they tend to amplify road vibration. And with as much traffic as there is on our roads here in Florida, the roads have permanent "waves" etched into them by heavy trucks, etc. Sometimes it feels like the car is out of alignment, but its just the road.

update

well i took the car in yesterday to get the 4 brand new goodyear triple tread tires put on and have the alignment checked... after 4 and a half hours and over 100 miles that i put on the 09 gxp i " test drove " lol i got my car back and was told by the service manager that the problem was fixed and he even drove the car with no vibration. well i leave the dealership and go to get on the highway got up to 50 and what do ya know the vibration started then when i hit 65 i let go of the wheel to watch it shake a good half inch up and down. called the service manager and asked wtf i thought it was fixed and he said it didnt shake for him and then told me he cant do anymore about it and i have to get a second opinion on it which i have tried b4 but both other pontiac dealer wont touch it because its a exsiting problem and gm mite not pay them to work on my car. so i took it to firestone because they mounted the tires for the dealer and the rebalanced them for me saying everyone was .25 ounce off. get the car back again and still shakes like hell. the part that pisses me off is this is the worst it has ever been. wonder how much trouble i would get in for trying to pound the car up the service managers a$$:D
