Hello to the group.
My sons' 06 g6 has just started to have this problem. Its seems kind of weird. I can shut the radio off, but the display light remains on and the radio is still powered up, meaning I can push the on button and it will come back on. All this happens without the key inserted. Opening and closing the door doesn't make any difference. I am worried that the battery will die on him if I don't fix this soon.
Is their some kind of relay for the radio that may not be working?

I've encountered this once myself. I had to slam the door three or four times before it turned off when I opened it again.

Any thoughts?

Your power windows and the like still work as well? Does it finally shut off after about 10 minutes?

If so, sounds like our RAP is staying on.....which what Eldaron posted, makes it sound like the door ajar switch in the driver's door latch is sticking. Meaning, you would need to replace the driver's door latch. IF everything happens as described.
