be glad it happened while they were driving it...ive heard alot of stories of the dealership not being able to reproduce the problem. Glad its getting fixed
Are the transmissions in these cars a fairly regular problem. I am having problem with mine on my GXP. It took taking it to 3 dealers for them to admit there was a problem. They said because there wasnt a check engine light that there was nothing wrong. It goes back in Monday to the dealer that said something is definently wrong, even without a check engine light. How many miles are on your GTP?
Let me tell you! it was quite a comedy... the "valet" or whatever hes called who just gets your keys and goes and gets your car, almost crashed the car... gets out of the car freaking out... finds a service guy who insists on driving the car himself to check it out almost crashes the car.... I was SO happy that it didnt happen after I left... since it wasnt hapening when I brought the car in for the transmission and started happening while THEY were driving it... the dealership gave me a loaner car... the warranty company would NOT have given me a rental for several days at least...Man I got a laugh out of that one!
So many people go to the dealer and their response is UH....Nothing wrong..when they know damn well thousands of G6's have this problem.
They should fix all that stuff for free even the tranny problem as that is a common one.
I can see headlines now.
GM service tech killed in repair bay due to G6 steering failure. GM denies any problems.
