2007 G6 A/C and Temp gauge don't work..

I traved from Augusta, GA to Montgomery, AL and back last week. No problems over the weekend or this morning. But when I went home at lunch and got back in the car and tried to turn on my A/C, it would not turn on.. I also noticed that the Temp Gauge on the dashboard no longer registers a temperature. I have read that it is the thermostat more than likely. The things I have read says that it sticks once in a while. I had a couple questions:

1. Is this repair covered under my warranty?
2. Is it possible that it will "unstick" itself and be ok?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Would that also cause the temperature gauge on the dashboard to not register a temperature.. I know it has been cooler here today but I don't think the engine would run at 0 degrees.. hahaha
Off to the dealer I go hopefully tomorrow or the next day.. YAY!!! Thanks for the information!
Just want to update you guys! I took my car to the dealership this morning and dropped it off. They said it was the Thermostat that was causing the issues. It was sticking open.. Total cost including the $100.00 Diagnostic fee = $318.67.. Better than I thought it was going to be seeing that I took it to the dealership. I called a few local auto shops and suprisingly they told me to take it to the dealership. In case anyone else has this problem I hope this information helps and this site has already been worth the time and effort, thanks everyone!
