I have had my G6 to the dealer at least 10 times over this stupid sunroof. My warranty is going to run out in about 7000 miles and GM will not extend it EVEN THOUGH it's their defective equipment. The Better Buisness Bureau can't do anything because it missed the 12000 mile deadline by 1,000 miles. GM is fixing the car every time but it just breaks again. Has anyone had to go through this? What was the outcome? All that I know to do is hire a lawyer and sue GM to take the car back.

I've had my 06 GT for 2 days now. I'm already afraid of what the years will come for repairs, but mostly the panoramic sunroof. What am I in for? It's not covered under any warranty for me, has 47000 miles on it. Will have to pay for it myself.

I bought my car that was just off a lease, but wonder why it was never fixed 10000 miles ago when the warranty should have paid for it. Sounds like a common problem for these.

It probably was fixed before. I have had more problems with the sunshade than the glass. Once the motor to the sunroof broke and the roof was stuck open. It has leaked twice and the wind noise is awful. The sunshade has broke 4 times. It comes loose and sags down. GM fixes it every time cause its still under warranty. They wont admit that it is defective. They won't extend my warranty. As soon as the warranty runs out I'm screwed. All I can say is don't use it. Check with a GM dealer and see if it has been repaired within the last year. If it was repaired with GM parts, the parts are under warranty for 1 year or 12000 miles. That may help if the same parts are broke. I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other questions.
