Greetings,

First off, I would just like to introduce myself; My name is Dillon. I'm 19 years old and attend a Technical School. I currently live in St. Peters, Missouri which is 20 min from St. Louis. I just bought a used certified 2007 G6 GT Coupe and fell in love with it. I probably got the best deal around and there is absolutely nothing wrong with it. Who ever owned it before me took great care of her. I've owned it for a week now and have already put 2,000 miles on it. It now sits at 27,xxx :D First night I purchased it I got pulled over for speeding  (NO TICKET DUE TO TEMP TAGS.)

I have ordered many mods already. Today, I had ALL windows blacked out to 5%. I installed my new emblems, 4 piece grille, and rear lower valance for dual exhaust.

I would love to get to know everyone and have help if needed. I have many great ideas and I get inspired by many of your guys cars. Pictures of my car will be up soon once I get a few more things done to it. Thanks guys.

5% Tint? Is that even legal for a car? :S (except limousines of course)

It is NOT legal for the driver/passenger door. The legal limit is allowed to be 35% or higher here in MISSOURI. I choose to do 5% on all windows. For the windshield I did a weather strip which is also 5%. You absolutely CAN'T see in my windows. It's a risk I take but only state troopers can pull you over for tint. Its a $68.50 fine and if he's a dick he can make me rip/take off.

When I had them done I had to sign saying they weren't responsible if I get tickets etc. All my cars and trucks have been ILLEGAL and I've never been pulled over for it. I'm pretty lucky when I get pulled over. I always get away.

well welcome, im sure youll find plenty of new ideas for your 6 here. i can agree with that tinting statement, my back half is done at 5% which is the only thing legal here in jersey but you cant even see the drivers seat when looking in the windshield. its pretty awesome.

but welcome, and try not to get too pulled over so much lol

Nice. Yeah I love mine. It really makes my car stand out more. Plus, my interior is all black so it makes it even darker. Every time I see a cop I roll down the front windows. Its sort of a win win situation.

Nice! I sadly haven't tinted my G6's windows, they're at the stock 70% lol xD
Welcome!! I did the same thing and went with 5%. havnt had any problems yet. (fingers crossed)

I highly recommend tinting your windows. It makes it look a lot more sporty and stands out WAY more. But be aware that there are laws of how much percentage you can go to. But I don't follow every law and you will have to sign a slip stating no one is responsible but you. BUT ENJOY!

Also, once you get tint you won't ever stop. Its addicting!

Love my tint....even though the metal in it killed 1/2 my radio reception!
Damn inside glass radio antenna!! lol

"KNOCK ON WOOD" :D Just roll them down when you see a cop! The 5% is just so awesome. You can see out at day/night but no one can see in. Its funny watching people stare at you down the highway or stop lights. They just keep looking as if they are eventually going to see you. HAHA.

OUCH! I would take back to get it redone. They are suppose to have a "special" film that is suppose to go over that, that it won't affect the radio reception. But, I always listen to my CD's.

Speaking of radio, is there NOT a AUX output put on these cars? I can't just plug my iPod Touch in anywhere with a cord. It really pissed me off more than anything because I can't find it!

Yeah I will tint them, but probably somewhere around 20% or 25%. Except the rear window, that puppy is gonna be at 5% :)

I would do 5% full back. Front driver/passenger 20% and front windsheild weather strip 5%. Depending on your interior color the front driver/passenger will read at 15%. So you WIN! You won't be able to see through your windows either. I LIKE!

I got an Aux.....you didnt get the Aux???? ;)

I paid double and got the ceramic-based tint. It also keeps the car a lot cooler than the metallic films, especially important given that the car already is extra hot because it's black.

Dang. I don't want to go through all the trouble but I really want my AUX for iPod. Ughh. GM was so dumb not to include this. My ex gf Cobalt SS had a AUX and it was a 2007. Oh well.

Everyone tint their G6ers :D

Changing back to the tint subject, umm if my interior is all black leather, the tint will in a way be darker than it actually is? o:
