Hello out there. I'm thinking about buying a Magnaflow (part no. 16760) catback single exhaust for my 2008 G6 GT. I had a couple of questions if anyone has purchased and installed this exhaust on their G6.

Would it void any warranties?

Can you really tell the difference in the upgrade?

Is it worth the money (I saw it for roughly $550 online +250 installation from my dealer)

Would anyone suggest any other upgrade to add some horsepower besides the Magnaflow exhaust?

Thank you in advance if anyone has any advice! I appreciate it!

Exhaust

Thanks for the info Lampoon and Justin. I was wondering if you guys knew about the Magnaflow 16760 and what years it will fit. I have seen several websites selling it and marketing it as available for G6 models 2005-2008 and some from 2005-2007. I contacted Magnaflow and the guy told me that they are making a model for the 2008 and it's not yet for sale. I contacted GM and their catback exhaust that they sell is the same model number for both the 2007 and 2008. Mine is a 2008 and I don't want to order the 16760 from Magnaflow and it not fit. Please HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I checked out the GT-R exhaust but I only have a single exhaust outlet, not a dual exhaust....this is starting to frustrate me! Any other recommendations for an exhaust thats doable for a single exhaust?

Thanks again for the info RedRocket and Lampoon. I called GM today asking about the lower bumper valence and the guy from GM told me I would need to buy the entire bumper which would be unpainted! I mentioned the lower bumper valence and he asked me to ask you guys if any of you have actually ordered just the lower black piece and if you did, would you have the part number? He said GMs parts catalog was a mess (makes me feel good ordering something from them haha) and that if he had a vin number of a G6 that came with the dual exhaust already, he could find the part number that way. Any other advice anyone can give me?! I appreciate all the replies so thanks a lot guys! I hope to get this thing done and have my ride look as sharp as all of yours! That dual exhaust is HOT!

Lampoon you are the man! My G6 is a 2008, 4 door GT sedan so I should order the 2006-2008 GTP sedan lower bumper cover then? Thanks again for the info, I can't wait to get this thing finally ordered and installed along with the GT-R exhaust!

It's definitely going to be sweet...Classic Perfomance told me there's a 2-3 week waiting period right now for the GT-R exhaust though, I can't wait to get that thing installed!

Lampoon said the lower valence has some bolts and clips as well. I'm ordering both the valence and my exhaust tomorrow and then the waiting begins haha. I can't wait to get this bad boy installed...going to be great. I'll get some pics posted when it's finished and try to get a video of it all too. Thanks to all of you who have helped me find the parts I needed, you guys are great!

HELP! I finally ordered my lower bumper valence from www.gmpartsdirect.com and they are telling me now that I need to include my vin number so that I can order my part. The only problem is, is that my vin number will show that I have a single exhaust outlet on my lower valence, not the two like the GTPs have! Does anyone have a 2006-2008 GTP that they'd be willing to let me borrow so that I can order my lower valence with the dual exhaust cutouts????? I thought I was finally in the clear with all of your guys help in finding the correct part for my car and now this happens! Please any help would be greatly appreciated!

Actually left the bumper on and just laid underneath the car today. Took me about an hour, my socket kept falling off the tiny hex head screws that were close to each wheel well, other than that pretty smooth installation. The middle square type clips were tricky at first, had to bend them up slightly to fit in the grooves. Get the GT-R Exhaust installed tomorrow, I'm like a kid on Christmas, can't freaking wait til I get off work tomorrow!

I've actually had a lot of compliments since I got the new rims that the chrome underneath the windows goes nicely with the rims. What do you think? What would I replace it with? Black trim or color matched?

They do look hot on your ride Lampoon. Where did you get the black ones at? A GM website? How much were they? Also wanted to ask you if you have any of the Midnight Metallic Blue overlays available? Thought I read on here that you make the overlays for the Pontiac logo?
