I'm doing a bit of research for my mom who suddenly decided she wants a sporty car, rather than an SUV. She is looking at a 2008 Pontiac G6 Convertible GT with the 3.9L, has an MSRP of around 33k, and they are offering it at 30k with 0% for 72 months.

I checked edmunds True-Market Value for it with 300 miles and got a dealer retail of 25k. Should she jump on this deal, or being a 2008 should there be some more room to deal? It just seems a bit steep to me for a vehicle that has been on the lot for more than a year.

I just purchased a new 09 Convertible GT(only had 7 miles on it) for just a tick over 25K, so I would say the the 08 is too much.

Yeah we figured that out, and she ended up with a 2009 GT Convertible with the 3.9L. MSRP she said was around $35k, she ended up at $29K+TTL (I believe, I don't think that was OTD pricing) Fun little car.
